Yeah! We are finally over the hump and the count down is on! I have put my notice in at work. February 1, 2024. Let’s face it, it’s terrifying to give up ones job, security and something that has defied me for more than two decades. I’m reminded of a quote, “If your dreams don’t scare you they are not big enough”.

The real work is about to begin. We have spent years dreaming, planning and scheming. Now we have to roll up our sleeves and deal with the monster in the room. Our House. Most of February and March will be dedicated to packing things away to make the house ready to rent out.
The cars will all be sold. We purposely did not invest in nice furniture over the years because we knew this day would come. Nina has wanted a new couch for years, “nope we are going sailing”, I kept saying. I settled with some new covers for the cushions.
We are definitely not looking forward to dealing with all the stuff but we will get it all handled I’m sure.
The excitement is high and the time is nearing!
